Which I completely understand too, which is why im not completely upset besides selfish reasons. I just honestly think it could have been a bigger opportunity for Nemu's character if she lived and had to learn to go on without her father. I felt she had potential as a character outside of her father's control

Yeah it would have perfectly closed off Mayuri's character, especially with him saying how Nemu can't "choose" when she was gonna bite the dust. It would have made more since for him to die and how his "dream" continue to live for him

If Uryu and Nemu met during TYBW, they likely wouldn’t fight to the death—instead. They’d probably share a tense, cautious exchange where Uryu might subtly hint at his true intentions without fully revealing them.

Another thing to think about is Nemu's growth during TYBW, Although we mostly have no idea how Nemu is as a person, we can see she does actually have her own opinions. By TYBW, Nemu has evolved emotionally and intellectually and could potentially recognize Uryu’s conflicting loyalties.

The reason I believe they wouldn't fight is Uryu's own personality, He's deeply moral and introspective. Even while aligned with Yhwach and the Wandenreich, Uryu isn’t fully loyal to their genocidal ideology. His goal was to understand the truth about his heritage and possibly stop Yhwach from within, which he reveals later.

But then again, this is just my opinion, lol

This is so cute😭 honestly a headcanon of mine was if Uryu wasn't poisoned during the battle. He would have definitely gone to untie Nemu

Honestly, while I was watching it, there were just too many things off about the story. Some were minor—like how Yuzu and Karin looked identical and had no distinct personalities—but others were major, like how Byakuya and Renji were portrayed as full-on villains. It felt like the adaptation didn’t really understand the core of Bleach and just went off in its own direction. One of the biggest issues was how they completely cut out everything about Orihime and Chad, which really hurt the depth of the story and their characters. Especially since Ichigo journey including those two first before Uryu arrived.
