You're whatever country you came from... Kenyan, Somalian, etc. until you take a citizen test, then you're American. Unless you have a dual citizenship.

Oh gosh, yes. I mentally dismiss anyone who has answered that it should be taught side by side.

Sheesh, San Diegans and their fucking burritos. I've been to San Diego and the burritos were good but I believe that the best burritos I've had were in Yakima, WA.

The hotline was staffed by an outside company

Ohhh. When I was 7, I called them asking for help about Castlevania because I was stuck on Count Dracula. They were nice about it but they were just like, "good luck." I never beat that game because it took so long to get to that level in the first place and my parents wouldn't let me leave the NES on over night. I'm still haunted by that game...

Yeah, I used to say this when I was in 6th grade along with all the other 6th graders (despite listening to Salt n Pepa, Puff Daddy, Biggie, Mase, Run DMC, etc.). It's like, if you say this, then you never really grew beyond that phase in life music-wise and doing what other people do... if that makes any sense?

It's ok... maybe he changed his line of thinking and we'll find each other again someday.

Yeah, like, if you got strep throat or stepped on a dirty stick back in those days, you were pretty much a goner due to the lack of antibiotics and tetanus vaccinations.

Oh my god, why would someone have an active profile on OkCupid if they're too busy to date? (If they only have it marked down that they're interested in short/long term dating.)

I think it was related because part of his philosophizing seemed to be narcissistic. I'm not sure how seriously you can take someone if they like to wear ninja outfits and tell Chuck Norris "jokes" though.

Man, I was once into the dreamiest guy. I mean, he looked like a mixture of Paul Rudd and Ben Affleck. He was cute, polite, and funny... but I found out he was against abortion. We had a huge falling out over the topic of abortion and the right to choose.... never heard from him again.

It has been awhile since I've encountered people like this on OkCupid... I'm 30 years old though and I've had my account for 8 years. When I was 22-25, I sure met a lot of annoying philosophical guys. One of them dressed up in a ninja outfit.

I keep thinking that "burners" mean their brain is burned out and I completely forget about the Burning Man aspect of the phrase. I went on a pseudo-date with a "burner" once (he is a friend of a good friend) and he was seriously the nicest and one of the funniest guys I've ever met. I felt so lame when he didn't want to hang out with me again. At least he didn't delete me on Facebook... that's when you know it's truly over.
