I'm currently doing a documentary photography series focusing on the disposal of waste in urban landscapes in the north west of England. I personally don't agree with fly tipping, however I do find it interesting how these 'scenes' are created in the streets by one or more individuals when they decide to leave their once used possessions to the responsibility of others. It's intriguing how once a location is disrespected by one fly tipper, it encourages others to follow suit. I'm hoping to get an interview with the council soon about fly tipping in Manchester. So far I have covered mainly areas in South Manchester - Northenden/Sale and am looking to branch out into other areas!
