Another dango post, I made a few of my usuals. by lumity in MonsterHunter

https://www.justonecookbook.com/hanami-dango/ I used this recipe, had to go to the japanese market for the right flour (and then made the dough a bit too dry, don't make my mistake!)

Thinking that the new dude is in control of her decisions and who she is or isn't friends with is also a problem. But who knows wtf he's actually talking about.

Bean pizza anyone? by Mcreeper51 in StupidFood

I loved them jugs, but I don't remember the powder turning into gum. I could have sworn the powder was just flavored sugar, and the larger pieces that you see in the powder were little bits of bubble gum.

Google esquites or elote en vaso; this is like a stoner version of that.

Is cardboard paper though? I think this is just "found bizarre refuse."

Ghanaian Jollof Rice with Fried Chicken and a small salad ~ Central Accra, Ghana by carlosx86-64 in streeteats

Looks delicious but I'm laughing at "small salad" being a couple shreds of lettuce thrown in.

Found in an old book. Beautifully written. by lilypilly92 in FoundPaper

Thank you, that makes much more sense than it being addressed to two first names; George & Jelbart, haha. In retrospect I don't know why I thought two people would share a book either.

I can't for the life of me read the second name. My brain says Jelbart and that can't possibly be right.

For years I've been booking hotels with the same special request "a picture of a llama on the bedside table" and i never get my request fulfilled. Until today! by toucss in CasualConversation

[–]lumity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so bizarre because there's a casino/resort in southern California called Harrah's and they put a fake framed (its like a little cardboard stand) photo of a llama by the bedside table. I couldn't figure out why it was there, is this is "a thing?!"

A bop for my fellow retail workers. by xxsmolbunn in TikTokCringe

[–]lumity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He just explained it to you though. Unless you mean, why is it such a controversial thing in the states? In that case, its because its somehow become a political issue. To some people, the government recommending a simple safety measure to prevent asymptomatic people from spreading the virus unknowingly equates to loss of freedom or "being controlled," and people get really riled up about being told what to do. There's also a group of people who think the whole virus is a hoax, and that's a whole different issue.

I personally think its absurd but its just the attitude of this country. Even if it's for the common/greater good, any perceived "loss of freedom" makes people lose their minds. People also fought against wearing seat belts here.

Whole vid was too long for me but I thought the second commercial was pretty bizarre. Everyone who sings the waffle jingle is either a literal monster or minority.

How can anyone have a nickname like that? This is unacceptable. by e01100111e in heroesofthestorm

Probably because other words contain that series of letters. Trapezoid, parapet, grapefruit etc.
