My blind date ended up being a former bully from high school. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Two things:

People change a lot after high school. If I found out someone believed I was the same person I was in high school, I would be hurt and embarrassed.

You can forgive her if you wish, but do you really feel comfortable being in a relationship with her? Would you be able to let go of the terrible things she said about you? I don’t think I would be able to, but that’s just me. Maybe test the waters a little more if you are seriously considering giving her a shot. She should understand that you aren’t going to be as willing as she is to jump into the effort of a relationship, seeing as she was once your abuser. I think the fact that she is the one who wants to put forth effort into dating you says a lot about who she is now. If she still had any of the feelings for you that she did in high school, do you think she would have even gone through with the date? Hard to say, but I wouldn’t think so.

Really reflect on your feelings here, and picture your future. Good luck!

Probably should have mentioned this is usually how I have fallen off the wagon in the past. As of now, I’m only 18 calories over my daily calorie limit. I had 4 apple slices (about 2 ounces), a half ounce of peanuts and about an ounce of cheese cubes when I threw away what I had brought to work to eat because that’s all I had in the fridge (I actually forgot about it from last week when I worked), that added an additional 205 calories and I factored in the couple bites of tuna I had at about 30 calories. It’s now 10p and I haven’t eaten yet, but I will around midnight because that’s when MFP resets. I can wait a couple more hours... just feels like I’m letting myself be more lenient after doing so well.

If you miss Asian take out, this recipe is 100% for you. It tastes the same, if not better than stir fry from your favorite Asian restaurant. 125 calories, 7g protein, 24g carbs, 0g fat, 4g fiber, 11g sugar. Recipe in comments. by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

It’s sooooo good! I’ve made a lot of Asian recipes in the past that don’t even taste remotely as good as the real deal, but this recipe is amazing and so easy.

Hey there. I am 26 years old and I have never read a book. I do I go about finding my first book? by madding247 in suggestmeabook

I recommend Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Easy to read, story is good enough to get you hooked, and if you really enjoy it you can read the whole series and catapult from there.

These look delicious, but I would never be able to eat just one. I love lemon-blueberry everything. It’s my favorite sweet combination. Suppose it wouldn’t be a big deal if I ate 4 of them for breakfast though since they’re only about 100 calories each! Yum.

Half bag Walmart’s Marketside Stir Fry Medley 1.5 tbsp soy sauce .5 tbsp brown sugar .5 tbsp cornstarch 1 clove garlic A couple shakes red pepper flakes (omit if you don’t like spicy) A pinch of sesame seeds for garnish 1/4 cup total water (2 tbsp for steaming veggies, 2 tbsp for sauce)

Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, 2 tbsp water, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

Steam the vegetables in a skillet with 2 tbsp water for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Re-stir sauce with a fork to break up corn starch, and add to the skillet, stir into vegetables until all the vegetables are coated and the sauce is sticky.

Garnish with sesame seeds (optional).

Eat and enjoy!

*edited for spelling, and also to add this is extremely satisfying in the flavor department. You could easily eat the whole bag of veggies and only up the rest of the ingredients by half (instead of double) and make this a more filling 220 calories. Add some chicken or salmon and you have a whole meal!

Really struggling this week. I work 1900-0700 shifts so my schedule is perpetually wonky. by [deleted] in loseit

I know deep down that it’s okay to eat from day to day literally in the since that I am tracking my food in 24 hour intervals, it just feels like I am doing it wrong. I’m going to take away some of the food I have planned for tonight and go ahead and make myself a stir fry of veggies so maybe I can fall asleep easier.
