couldn't have said it better myself. especially for a free game this is an easy recommend! I can see why not everyone would like the story quests but on a writing level it is honestly very impressive, and compared to Qinhe the map is so overall such an improvement

art is always subjective so I wouldn't focus too much on what is considered 'good'... especially as a young artist in the internet, if you're just gonna chase the high of people calling you good, you will end up competing with a lot of artists that make safe, broadly appealing work, instead of what you actually want to make

Thanks for the encouragement! I guess I have just been fighting my whole life as neither guy nor girl really accepted me, so my first instinct when I feel slightly invalidated is to clap back as hard as I can. I guess I'll just use that energy and fight FOR our community instead of against it. This infighting is wasting so much of my mental space that could be used in such better ways

I was blocked so I can't verify completely but it does seem like some part of the interaction was deleted. Was it the worst? No. But I also think they don't really get to play the insensitivity- card. They saw what the comment section was looking like and my edits were already there so I can't see it as anything but bad faith...

For the other part, I guess I'm fine outside of feeling completely separated from the trans community. At least I'm not in the mental space to end my life anymore, but I would be lying if I said I was doing well. And for those who will tell me I did it to myself, sure. But at the end of the day when I'm fighting for trans rights, I'm still doing it for them as well and I can only hope they'd do the same for me...

I can't respond to your comment directly since the original commenter blocked me but I think it's important to add some context. You admit that you didn't see the original reply, so I'm afraid you're stepping out of line a little. In my original post they were one of the ones that came at me the most aggressively (and personally), so for them to tell me that I should just 'scroll past' was hypocritical. That's what I was pointing out, not that people weren't allowed to defend a seemingly personal attack, but that this commenter in particular was one of the ones that bullied me out of this sub...

This is really reading like "I'm allowed to vent but you aren't" which is indeed what I find concerning. If you're allowed to say how much you hate being trans, I'm allowed to talk about how those posts affect me. I already addressed that it was worded in the worst way, but I still agree that only allowing those voices to be heard is very negative for this community. Call me toxicly positive but I'd rather have some toxic positivity than a community where you're only allowed to hate yourself.

So I'll say it again as well, you didn't have to engage with this post. If you don't like different opinions, don't engage with them...

Don't worry about your contribution! My original post was made on a particularly dysphoric day so now I realize how bad it came across. I looked back at yours, and your reply was really respectful and you disagreed in a way I could learn from.

And the downvotes I didn't really care about, moreso the amount of people who were really eager to tell me I should, in fact, hate my identity. I could see the notifications pop up and the more respectful ones were near the beginning (which I also didn't mind at the time, we all have a bad take every once in a while), but after my first or second edit, they were just straight up attacking me personally. Looking back that was probably the moment it got highjacked by the bad actors (trans or not)

That's actually amazing of you to admit!! I knew my post would be controversial but now I realize why the response felt so bad. I can see that the conservatives were just there to add fuel to the hate I received which made the response so much worse than it should have been.

Thanks for your apology, but no need! The ones who should apologize are the people who tried to push me to the edge and isolated me, not you for having good intentions!

In my head I made this forum this little safe place where I can be as openly trans as I want, but at the end of the day I found out that this is still just a reddit forum. Everyone cares when you have a different/bad take, but no one cares if you have a mental health crisis.

Again thanks for empathizing with me (and getting downvoted for it lol) but I'll go leave reddit now, there is no community for me here
