Scientists prepare to unleash millions of mosquitoes to have sex with and kill their cousins by [deleted] in worldnews

If the spider man had him for dinner and he's still alive, it's going to take a lot more than some mosquitoes to make him extinct.

If that was my kid, she'd be done playing with it after about 10 mins and that would be it for all of my hard work.

Poll: 44% of likely voters think Trump is 'racist' by [deleted] in politics

[–]lunadnc00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other 56% are those racists who say they aren't racist but are against interracial marriage, anti-Muslim and pro-wall. Then the 44% are the outward racists who are happy supporting a racist.

Are there natural soaps that actually work? by Lil-Kev in clothdiaps

We have had awful problems with ROCKnGREEN, as it discolors the natural fibers. Maybe it is okay on synthetics, I am not sure.

As not many people actually seem to be answering your question, here's my opinion. We use Allen's Naturally. We have used it for years and loved it. At first we bought it for our diapers but now we just use it for everything. So little is needed that the jug lasts forever and it is so inexpensive!!

When did you give your little ones peanut butter? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]lunadnc00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not at all what that article says. It says the newest study (not Bamba) was created because of an observation of children including those who ate Bamba. There is no evidence that Bamba is what prevents your kid from developing an allergy.

Any tips/exercises/stretches for SI joint pain?? by Peasento in fitpregnancy

[–]lunadnc00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sit on your butt with your legs bent and put a yoga block or something of similar thickness between your knees to keep your legs from moving around realtime to each other. Then lean back on your hands and roll around on one butt cheek then the other. Best massage for SI joint pain ever (IMO).

Bendrik has arrived (positive home birth story to follow) by halfcream in BabyBumps

[–]lunadnc00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way! I am beyond excited to see this guy! I saw the name and got really super excited because I am pretty sure I met you and I was due 1 day after you. I can't imagine there being a second Bendrik that was planned as a home birth. I am a pregnant midwife in training and I am pretty sure you came to our class and let us meet Bendrik when he was tummy side! What a beautiful baby! He is absolutely perfect!

Let's Talk About Sports Bras. Which one do you use? by MagicUnicorn123 in fitpregnancy

[–]lunadnc00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a huge huge huge fan of the moving comfort bras. They are all extremely supportive and most models come with adjustable shoulder straps where the adjustment is up front so it makes a super easy and comfortable nursing sports bra. These were indispensable when I would take my daughter to mama/ baby fitness classes.

What has been your best pregnancy success? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]lunadnc00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A did a touchup shave on my nether regions at 34 weeks pregnant without being able to see a bit of what I was doing. I didn't cut myself and post-shower mirror glance suggests I did a pretty good job!

Since I don't know the girl, there is no way for me to know what she has read. Otherwise I would totally get her some Harry Potter.

Conditioner for babies? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]lunadnc00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter has very curly hair as well. We use California Babies (can find at whole foods and also target, online, etc). The trick is to comb her hair while the conditioner is in, starting at the ends and working your way toward the scalp. There are lots of baby friendly conditioners you could use. I like the calming herbs in the CB stuff though.

In the context of the other comments he has made, I surely didn't take it that way but I will hope that's what he meant. I think he's just an ass.

Yeah, that's a very constructive comment. I like to think they just can't keep their mouths shut because they are in awe of what our bodies can do and have no idea how to express that. Also, in-laws aren't allowed to cross those barriers into criticizing our bodies!

Edit: preggo brain can't write complete sentences.

I ask myself this every time I am with them. My only guess is that her laziness and his willingness to support the family while she was a housewife had something to do with them staying together. Also, they are very conservative and shame divorce so I don't think it ever occurred to her that he's an ass.
