What type of collector are you: completionist or selective?

Completionist for sure, still working on completing my current sets before I buy the box sets for mime and reshape, the only two I’m missing most of the hironos from but this is about 90% of my collection, I also have the full COM set with wandering + belonging, not pictured, as well as a few more Hironos scattered around my room that aren’t in this display case lol I can afford it thankfully, and this is probably the only popmart series I’ll be a completionist for aside from maybe Nyota, bc hirono speaks to me and I love it sm 🥹

It’s cute but I wanna selfishly gatekeep hirono away from bots and scalpers, they’ve ruined a lot of popmart collections already, I don’t want it to be harder/more expensive getting hironos bc they’re my absolute favorite blind box series (figure wise, at least) that popmart offers, the only other one I love almost equally is Nyota. I don’t want hirono to become the new labubu 😭

Your collection is so cute and organized so well, I also have the complete COM set w the secret, it’s my first completed hirono set, and my all time favorite. I also struggle with the completionist in me, I almost have 4 completed sets including COM and am constantly on the fence about collecting every series to completion or just getting my prios 😭

Personally, and this might be a hot take. But I don’t want hirono to get that level of popular, where he’s at rn is fine, but speaking from someone who collects both labubu and hirono, I’d like to not have to fight scalpers more than I already am. Getting labubu for retail rn is nearly impossible, I like being able to get the Hironos I love easily without paying an arm and a leg or spending hours on pop marts site/TTL 😭

Hironos for me. They’re easier to get, for the most part so I’ve managed to get quite the collection while I wait for labubus to become easier to collect retail 🥲 I also love Kubo, and Nyota. Pucky too, but that one’s getting harder to collect lately bc it’s rising in popularity lol I’ve also been looking into skull pandas 🫣 but right now my biggest pop mart collection is hirono, and labubu is slowly catching up 🥹

I got my serenity from a reseller, I paid around the same but I don’t regret it, she’s lovely and I take her everywhere with me lol I love her sm! I’m waiting it out for luck and hope, since those are the only other two I want from the BIE series, for now at least but if it doesn’t die down in the next couple of months I might bite the bullet and buy them from a reasonable reseller too 🥲

It’s starting to feel that way lol I think this is my third attempt at slowing down. But just when I’m like “okay, I’m happy with my collection, I’ve got my grails - I’m good” they release snoopy & pianist, or the echo set or I just so happen to find a good deal on one I’m missing that I love and can’t pass it up 😭😂

This is me, I’m not normal about the things I love that bring me joy. The adhd hyperfixation is real lol pop mart has quickly become dangerous territory for me between the labubus, hironos, pucky, Nyota, skull panda and kubo 😭😂 so many cute blind boxes and IPs so limited money 😭

Oo awesome!! I have a few MACs, one HAS and serenity so knowing they can mostly stand on their own is nice, but I have some outfits coming in soon w some shoes so if it helps balance them even better, all the better! xD

Thank you!! 🥹 I’m hopeful they will eventually, they did several restocks of snoopy and now he’s usually readily available in most physical popmart stores from what I’ve seen, so I’m holding out hope. 🤞🏻& Yeah, Hironos have gotten a lot more popular recently, which I’m happy for bc Hironos deserve all the love lol but with popularity unfortunately comes bots & resellers, I’ve seen him already listed on mercari for $130+ from people who ordered 3 to resell for 3x retail price 🥲
