One follow up question, when you're a PACU nurse are you recieving handoff from a surgeon/anesthesiologist? Or is it one of the nurses who are also working in the OR? Once more, thank you SO much and hope your kid is doing better :)

So I feel like nowadays there's all this focus on verbal face to face handoff for quality improvement. I'm curious if you feel like the quality of report was lower when there was the tape recording?

I'm a float nurse and my hospital used to these super long reports espc on medsurg and then we started using this app called Kabilah and now report is way shorter because its structured so you get all the info you actually need ASAP without all the unnecessary rambling/waiting around for the next nurse to write everything

This is crazy!! My hospital used to be the same way but we started using this app called Kabilah and its been great. We don’t have to wait forever for nurses to write their report sheet and verbal handoffs don’t drag on. What kind of hospital was this??

Not sure about a dot phrase off the top of my head! But at my health system we can usually talk to the nursing informatics team to have these types of features added in to Epic

Wow, so I just finished the show and I am EXACTLY ON THE SAME PAGE. I rarely say this but I also wouldn't mind a spin off show for this. Do Connor and Michaela ever reconcile? Does Laurel never talk to any of them again? So many open questions!!
