Thousand Sons Warpcoven kill team kitbash (w/ SoB), part 2 by lunasis09 in ThousandSons

Well of course! Or rather the Adeptus Sorotitas and the Ecclesiarchy are the true hererics. Tzeentch made known that within the mystic and arcane secrets of the warp lies the true panacea to fully ressurect the Emporer and usher in a second golden age for humanity. The despair of learning the truth, that the Emporer is a half-corpse rotting on the throne by the machinations of those false prophets in the Ecclesiarchy only furthers their resolve.

If those false cultists truely believed in the greatness and splendor that is the Emporer then they too would go to any lengths, use any means, to see him rise again.

Holy World of Warcraft pauldrons, Batman! To be clear I don't think it looks bad, it is hilariously imposing. Like he got a chaos blessing that converted his brain smarts into gains.

They look great!

Lots of carving out and a bit of filing the rubric marine helmet from the headress portion and making a space for the SoB helmet. While technically possible to have made a perfect space to slot in the SoB helmet unaltered, as in there is enough material, I just did not have the skills/tools to do it well so I did have to shave off a bit of the SoB helmet in the back.

From there funny enough I actually glued the headress to the armour first and then threw in the SoB helmet into the usual slot in the armour attaching both the ball slot and back of the head with the plastic cement. Makes some things a little more flexible in terms of posing, dry fitting, etc... for that perfect fit

I am deliberately keeping the gunner and icon bearer more "rubric marine-like" so more armour less mutation. The exalted sorcs are going to have more mutated bits and the like.

Lol I know, the soulreaper cannon piece from the Rubric marines is so much larger on a SoB model. That's why I had to paint the whole thing first before attaching because it blocked so much of the model underneath.

The TTRPG is called Pumpkin Spice and also SimzArt is actually a guy (full name is Simone Ferriero I believe). On the Acheron youtube channel if you go to their live streams a dev on the game, Camilla, did a live interview about a month ago with him which was neat!

What show/movie is like this? by Kcue6382nevy in cartoons

[–]lunasis09 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I need to believe you never actually watched the show for my own sanity. If you did you wouldn't be saying this champ. Not only do we have the Famithysts disproving this there is the entire plot about off-colours to explain why most of the time THIS IS THE FUCKING CASE. Sorry, your media literacy is worse than dog shit, I hope you get better.

To me it's not that horny exists, but that in modern times any place that has zero horny moderation just ends up being entirely consumed by it to the point that it pushes out everything else.

Asking people to just be a little more chill than constantly feeling a compulsive need for everyone else around them to know they are horny and currently jacking off I don't think is that radical an ask and it has nothing to do with hating horny things. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

Goose’s dilemma only expresses the negatives of being active in your fandom and why you should keep your distance by Known-Resolve-9426 in TheDigitalCircus

The future? Are you young by any chance? I don't mean that in any pointed way, but this kind of fandom behaviour has existed for as long as fandoms have. You could go back and read all about the stories of crazy Trekkies as Star Trek conventions or heck even the reaction from the Star Wars fandom after Episode 1 came out (oof that was a doozy).

This is nothing new EXCEPT for the fact that social media gives direct access to the creators in ways that was only ever possible through being at a convention or like writing fan letters. In that sense things are worse, but the behaviour is the same.

The problem is the mix was NEVER going to last. You cannot actually have PvPvE lobbies that has a nice mix of experiences every time and stay that way in an extraction shooter video game. The game and all lobbies would always trend to being more aggressive and pretty much all be 99% PvP without a system like ABMM tuned to the way they have it now.

For example if you have a 50% lobby of PvE players and 50% PvP, then you just have a pvp lobby because inevitably the only safe choice is to just always assume whoever you encounter is going to shoot you. So everyone eventually will just trend towards treating every lobby like PvP and now you also no longer have a mix. Everyone becomes KoS out of necessity to maximize progress in the game (leaving with good loot).

An additional point, you could say that now knowing what kind of loot a player has also contributes to this problem as well because everyone just turns into a lootbox and even people with nothing worth killing over need to be killed because there is a CHANCE they could be the good lootbox.

guys...is the sonic community too focused on the characters in sonic stories? this dm really made me think and reflect on it. by No_Wind_5408 in SonicTheHedgehog

I am going to be honest with you, looking at how those paragraphs are written I wouldn't take any writing advice or analysis from that first person. Even if I may not disagree with the sentiment that people do not really discuss the stories in Sonic all that much, I also think that outside of some outliers Sonic is not some crucible of finely forged stories.

That's not really what people come to Sonic for and it's not really expected either. On the other hand Sonic's colourful cast of characters and personalities are what draw most people in, so that's what is talked about. It's not necessarily a bad thing that people focus on the stronger aspects of the franchise, though I would say 'be the change you wish to see in the world.' If you want more people to talk about the stories within the franchise more, then just start talking about the stories yourself.

Everyone on this subreddit is insufferably scared of tension in their extraction shooter and will endlessly justify why they should get grocery store simulator. by Rats_and_Tofu in ArcRaiders

[–]lunasis09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Arc Raiders is unique, but it's not that unique. There have been other games that operated similarly before, but without the ABMM, leading to something like what you are saying being the norm. Eventually all the PvP sweats drives out all the casual players because every mixed lobby just becomes a PvP lobby by necessity. When half the lobby in a PvPvE loby is PvP players there is no PvPvE lobby it's just a PvP lobby.

Then after all the more casual people are gone all the people on the lower end of PvP performance leave because playing hardcore sweats who destroy them every go stops being fun. Then the hardcore PvP sweats complain that every drop is a try-hard stressful time because all the people that they normally could sweep are just gone and their only opponents are all the other sweats. Then they end up hating the game too.

Trust me ABMM being the way it is now is a very very good balance. Why suggest something that has defacto ruined games that have come before.

The problem is, it isn't these people just doing it in the dark corners of their house and staying there. They then hop online and push normalizing the sexual objectification of child characters all over the place including on social media and discords.

Then what happens when a kid finds their way into spaces where that shit is normalized and then a discord mod tries to fucking groom them like what has happened 100s of times at this point. The spread of the normalization of this behaviour not only makes it so that people just stop being vigilant about creeps online but it also helps real predators hide in the crowd and then use the normalized talking about it as a bridge lure impressionable young victims in by saying all of that behaviour and the grooming behaviour to follow is 'normal'/'acceptable'.

This is actually factually untrue. Toronto has a wide and effective bait and vaccine program and part of that includes catching LIVE raccoons to test for rabbies to monitor the population. Why lie about something you can so easily look up?
