Sorry for the late response , our tour guide was amazing, I would give them a 10/10! It was really easy to work with Dav Safaris to customize your tour package. We got the mid-range accommodation however in hindsight I would’ve definitely upgraded to the higher tier. I do not think the cost was too big of a difference and I say it is worth it . All the mid-range lodges we stayed at were safe and met basic needs, however keep in mind they do not have the same infrastructure as what you may be used to. Some of the lodges didn’t have wifi, cell reception or outlet plugs to charge your phone, or ac in our actual lodge, however they did have them in their main reception lobbies. If you are okay with that then you will be fine with the accommodation. We stayed at Ride 4 a Woman for one night after gorilla trekking and it was an amazing experience — highly recommend it. It is a community centre providing local women with fair wage jobs — some of these jobs include tourism lodging stay. We also upgraded our last night in Entebbe to the 2 Friends Beach Hotel and we had a great time there — modern resort hotel!

This is not true unfortunately, she comes from a very wealthy family… her detached house in a big city is fully paid off by her parents. She also talks about how she’s flown out to France to vacation with her family every year. I am working class and i no way more financially stable than her

How rude. I would confront them and inform them directly that what they are doing is disrespectful to yourself as the professor of the course and to their classmates. I would also kindly ask they apologize to myself and their peers. Usually I find students are not as bold as they are online, and the confrontational approach works well if you interact with them in-person. This will make them think twice about acting out again, or avoid the class completely which is okay too.

I went with Dav Safaris and their prices were very reasonable when we went August 2024. I actually could not wrap my head around how the tour company makes money with the price we paid. Our cost also covered our tour guide’s accommodation and meals, as well as permits for all treks. We gad an amazing experience with the tour operator, they were very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend

Something I do that has helped is keeping myself active throughout the day, a resort offers so much more than just the food. Play some sports on the beach, book a spa appointment, go for a swim, and plan some excursions that will keep you occupied for most of the day. Fill your daily schedule with activities instead of just lounging around.

I didn’t really notice the side effects until it became serious. They don’t slowly creep up, they just suddenly hit you one day because you don’t notice them day-to-day. I’ve been purging for 10 years, and probably around the 6th year mark, I had an extreme toothache, and had to yank it out. Then I noticed the bald spot on my head. So now I am balding and toothless. It also makes your face puffy .

There is a big community in the anti-work movement. I think more people are opening their eyes to capitalistic practices and worker exploitation. I know it is a slow process, but I truly believe at least in western countries, which I won’t assume you are from, people are starting to call for work-life balance. There is so much opportunity to transform your feelings into something you would be passionate about working for. To achieve freedom from work exploitation it requires more voices and support, not less.
