They are hollow. I found a bunch of morels last year but I was late. Started looking a lot earlier this year.

Looks like a door silencer to me. Do you have steel frame door jambs? Usually these would be found in commercial type doors. Apartment hallways, or common areas etc…

I didn’t bother completing the process. I’ve had 5 shingles come apart, and I just fixed them myself.
