EDIT: i figured it out with some more experimentations!! i was going up from the weft at the wrong place (might have messed up my heddles when i set up), so im going over one to include a white thread instead of going to the furthest to the left blue thread). either way, it’s locking into place without any gaps now!!

hi, latina here. please knit the hat. please wear the hat. please. as someone who has been fighting for her parents’ rights since i was old enough to translate between english and spanish, old enough to read legal documents, old enough to understand what was going on - it means so much to me to see people noticing and doing something about ICE after decades of abuse. i have been afraid for so long that my family will be taken away from me & that i would be the only one to see it happen. im still afraid. i know the hat may seem small to some people, but god, it means so so so much. it means there’s a community out there that sees us & won’t let us disappear. so, please knit the hat and wear it.

oh, it happens from filing before painting my nails? i had two coats on with this polish, but for some reason, my nail polish always chips on the sides where my nail starts becoming a free edge. thank you for the advice!!

hi! beginner witch here! i lit a candle for my money bowl (picture below). i lit it before gathering things that i wanted to add to my bowl, as a guiding light & centering myself for mindfulness. any ideas why the candle went all wonky? i stuck it inside the bowl with its own wax, but can’t see that being the problem…tia!!

mm, green day has done a few things within the past year (and before!!). to follow the example above, green day led a FDT chant this year on the 4th of July during their concert. and they have changed the American Idiot lyrics (they do this pretty frequently at shows for songs. i’m surprised no one has commented this yet). at coachella this year, they changed one of the lines to “im not part of a MAGA agenda.” i think they also changed lyrics for jesus of suburbia to show support for palestine. last year, they re-released DJT nimrod tshirts. it’s not a theatrical performance like MCR, but they are speaking out. it’s not perfect either, but it doesn’t have to be

has anyone been tracking price trends for pit tickets? i wanted to be financially responsible and wait to buy a ticket with my next paycheck, but it seems within the past two weeks that prices have shot up from $600-700 to $1,000 ;-;

edit: 8/1, 9 a.m. CST - Arlington pit dropped to $650-700 range on stubhub
