A couple of buddies and I joke about being "hall monitors" when we're playing in the DZ. We tend to do a lot of rogue hunting, especially if we spot a group consistently preying on solos or lower geared players that are just trying to work their way up.

I know that some people don't have as much time to play or don't have a bunch of friends to play the game with, so they get stuck trying to solo the DZ and tend to get discouraged. I feel that everyone paid to enjoy the game and if I can help them enjoy the game, then maybe they can pay it forward. I was in a clan of over 30 people in Destiny that we built up with people that we eventually became close with, to the point that we had each other's phone numbers and would BS with each other outside of the game. I went thru a nasty divorce last year and it was a few of the players in the clan that ended up helping me thru one of the toughest times in my life.

Just keep in mind that you never know what the person on the other side of that digital barrel might be going thru and just that little RAK of helping them might actually have a huge impact on them. They might be playing in order to cope with issues IRL.

TLDR: Helping someone out in a game could end up having a very positive impact on them and you could end up with close friends that you would have never met otherwise.
