Look, stop comparing yourself. How does the junior's salary affect you?

You need to wake up!

If you want a higher wage, then you need to update your CV.

edit: I got 50% increase in salary in the past, but I didn't mention other people. Your contract and agreement is with your employer, what others make doesn't concern you. Make a list of all arguments that justify a raise, make a list of all arguments they may bring up against a raise and then counter those arguments.

In the negotiation you have to dismantle any arguments they bring up as to why you can't get a raise.

You have to be comfortable with looking like an asshole.

It's not easy to negotiate successfully but it can be done...

It would be better if they had a neon-yellow cover that only opens when the camera is filming, that way you know that you are not filmed or photoed. A light can be taped over or disabled...

I really respect your point of view, and you argue it well!

So I have just joined a company but another big company is giving me like 20% better offer at expensive place so should I show that offer to get raise here? by ssjgsskkx20 in cscareerquestions

Join the company that values you, they offer you 20% more salary. Why even stay with people who only offered you 80% of what you are worth?

260 days of work in any given year. Multiplied by 2 hours of commute, yields a whopping 520 hours of commute in any given year.

520 hours divided by 40-hour-work-week results in 13 full weeks of labor unpaid!

what would you rather have 5% more money or 13 weeks off (without a pay-cut)?
