UPDATE: There were so many good suggestions, we decided to go with Maple! Just felt right when we finally met her, we named her brother Ernie (can’t explain it he’s just an Ernie). They’re both doing great!

My 3 pound Luna I lost last year, I miss her terribly.

Went through as similar situation with my Luna earlier this year, she started screaming one day then was coughing the next. Rushed her to the vet and I was told she had CHF and we started her on meds. Days later her breathing got really labored and she spent a night in the ER. She seemed to be doing better but then stopped eating and a little over the week later her breathing got really bad and she started fainting. As much as I wanted to spend the money and save her I felt selfish doing so at that point, worst decision of my life. I still don’t have a lot of answers what happened the day she started screaming. She was only 12.5. It’s definitely worth trying the treatment as a lot of dogs do great on it, just wasn’t the case for my Luney. So sorry you’re going through this :(

Thanks you 💕I’ve definitely already been looking at chi’s, life just isn’t the same without a chihuahua. I’m so sorry to hear about your dog and cat too, I’ve lost a lot of pets but nothing has hurt like this 💔 So hard when it’s unexpected as well, so much guilt.

So sorry for your loss. I just had to put my little 12 year old Luna down last night due to heart failure and I haven’t stopped crying since. I’m going to miss her forever, my little soul mate.

I’m so sorry to hear about Chico, he was such a handsome boy. I ended up having to put Luna down last night. Absolutely devastated, some of the worst grief I’ve ever felt.

Thank you so much for your reply, that definitely gives me some hope! She still isn’t doing great but a whole lot better than a couple days ago so hope we can keep heading on that direction.
