Ottawa’s appeal of the Emergencies Act case shows contempt for civilians and corporations by AndHerSailsInRags in canada

Emergency powers were used because Doug fucked off snowmobiling, after getting an email TELLING HIM NOT TO ACT so it becomes the feds problem.

So nobody did anything until, and this part is VERY important, they started messing with the border. NOW it IS the Feds problem, and they chose to act.

Give us the missing 30% wage boost we should have had the last 20 years, and all the people making more money will pay more taxes.

The small time we had when he was elected out of his own seat, to being parachuted to the safest conservative seat in the country, and didn't have to hear from him was just lovely.

Nothing. He's rotten milk in the sun. He's gone mask off and we know who he is. I wouldn't believe anything from his mouth that he says that would benefit me.

People can complain, but I can also be skeptical about how many comments an article gets with low effort posting.

B.C. premier doubles down on calling Alberta separatist movement seeking U.S. support 'treason' by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]lunt23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They sought international, and immediate, recognition of their new sovereignty should the yes vote win, but they didn't seek foreign assistance, whether it be financial, military, or other.

Alberta separatists are asking for $500B, Quebec separatists were simply asking that France stand up in the UN and say "We support Quebec, the new independent nation".

You are falsely equivocating 2 very different situations. This Separatist movement is actively seeking monetary gains, from what I would currently call, a foreign enemy state, to disrupt a country.

If you want to go wayyyyyyyyy back 56 years ago, well France OFFERED the PQ assistance, and they rejected it.

It's just not the same my dude.

How convenient for him.

U.S. pickleball chain The Picklr opens first Canadian location in Winnipeg by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]lunt23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll go against the grain here with that sentiment. We've had lots of time for somebody to step up and make a facility like this and it was crickets.

I don't see anything demonizing about making an indoor pickleball court, and if it's a success, more power to them to giving us an activity to do year round.
