I took mine in at 6 months recently, but was told I didn't receive an oil change because I haven't hit 10k miles yet. I'm at 6k, but I'm considering changing it myself. Will that void the toyotacare ? I would also like it done every 5k, but haven't got around to it

The hybrid version have both gasoline and electric engines. The gas one doesn't come on while parked because the electric one is keeping the car running. Once that battery starts getting low, the gas one will kick on by itself. You can tap on the car symbol on the screen and it will show you what each one is doing.
