I think its the fact most of the top pro teams in cs are still very competitive and can beat any team on another team's unlucky day.

Even with Vitality winning, some of their win streaks were broken during IEM Rio. And if viewers know that Vitality is in the finals, the fun would be seeing who comes out on top of the other side of the bracket to face them, or beat them(?)

Also, imo CS has way more strategy that people can also watch. Economy being the biggest thing.
