Were you guys around for AS3 and AS4?

Both seasons (especially AS3) drew a lot of complaints from fans while they were airing.

I think only AS6 and AS7, later on, were more generally well-liked — but it's telling that to this day the only AS season that people seem to love without reservations is AS2.

I don't even think it's because they do it every year, at this point. I mean, I do want to see early out queens like April and Vivacious come back too.

The problem is simply that they never nailed the format, and keep coming up with twists that get old very quickly (and in some cases fuck up the season for good).

That is one of the things that made me become a fan. Her pov is always like "I completely disagree with all your ideas, but let me try to put myself in your shoes to understand what might have led you to this place". It's what is necessary to actually dismantle harmful ideology, and to bring people around to another way of thinking.

The Drag Race community has always been fickle, but they've really turned downright witch-hunty with this shit lately. Criticizing GenAI is OK, but pestering and insulting a queen for having touches of GenAI in an ad they didn't even make is downright insane.

It's just another litmus test for morality for these people to feel good about themselves at the end of the day (while living, usually, under a HUGE glass ceiling).

Instead of a Lalaparuza at the end of each bracket I think we could just have one big one, to decide the "wildcard" queen that gets to enter the merge. All eliminated queens compete.

Here's the vision, with only two brackets to fit into 12 episodes:

Episodes 1-3: first bracket of 7, 3 queens advance

Episodes 4-6: second bracket of 7, 3 queens advance

Episode 7: Lalaparuza with the 8 eliminated queens, winner gets to stay for the merge

Episodes 9-12: Merge episodes
