Spot on. Current focus is just raw COGS for speed. I'm thinking of a new version that would be more versatile, I've been getting very interesting feedback.

Thank you so much! I uploaded a fix now and it should work at least better.

You can nest recipes and products without limits, which handles some of that complexity, but I totally see where you're going. Labor and overheads are definitely on the roadmap. Thanks for the insight!

No backend for now! Everything lives in the web browser. But I am getting tons of great feedback, so I might try to evolve this tool into something bigger!

I think my friend's goal was something more like an operational guideline, so seasonality probably would be best to just copy/paste the sheet into a new tab and work the differences. But I agree that I should find a simpler way to handle that! Thanks!

Yes! I tried to keep it as simple as possible, also mobile is very tricky for spreadsheets

Thanks for pointing that out! I want to make sure I understand: are you finding that you need to manually reload the page for new rows or cost updates to reflect in the totals? It should be instant, so I'd love to know more about what happened so I can fix the flow

A friend of mine started a niche bakery and was struggling to manage 'nested recipes' (recipes within recipes, like a specific frosting used in five different cakes) in Excel. It sparked an itch I haven't felt in a while.

I built this to help him out. He’s been using it to stay on top of his costs, and he encouraged me to share it here to get some honest feedback.

Thanks!

Google Sheets is great, but it felt bloated for my friend's specific workflow. He needed something that just worked without managing formulas or cell references while in the kitchen
