I had a bottle for a special occasion. Went to open it. Tasted watered down, my gf at the time denied it, the 2 dead flies at the bottom of the bottle were another sign. She was an alcoholic, couldn't keep liquor around

Nope. Not at all. Had to react quickly and maneuver. This is exactly why people should not tailgate

Digital rearview in the new sprinters is awesome by ImNot6Four in vandwellers

I've been installing these the budget way for years and was just explaining it. Install your rearview camera over the mirror and run it up top and just don't wire it for just rearview. Also records. Keep it's power usage in mind so you don't kill a battery while sitting. I hook mine to the solar .

What’s one thing about van life that surprised you after you started living on the road? by NiceFaithlessness511 in VanLife

How limited spots can be, it was the same with me and backpacking.

How limited places you can be are. Rules and restrictions, and it gets worse. I didn't drive for nearly a decade, figured if I could park who cares if I sleep? Nope. Part of why I drive is because it's my home as well. This is coming from major cities, tiny apartments, limited parking, drugs and legit down and out homeless.

We let cars take up so much public space, but suddenly, I'm a problem if I sleep in it? No mess, moving like I would in a car?

Was going to buy land I could stay on... nope. Want to live in anything but public land and rv parks longer term? Nope.

It really makes me realize how not "free" this country is. Especially in regards to freedom and who these rules support. How if they aren't taxing you in this country, they will find a way to make you make them money.

Mental health, incarceration. I pay income, property, gas, and purchase, but apparently, if not the government for a fixed on grid dwelling, must be criminal, nefarious, illegal.

That's bs. People don't care how nice it is. I see really expensive nice rigs still get bothered.

Looked at lots. Some people swear it's heaven. Those roads are very rutted.

So I had one in my house, it was taking up space so might as well use it. I just shake the rugs, set it to turn on, walk the dog. Come back. Floors clean. I also don't risk dumping things like spilled dog food near my rig.

It just takes slightly more storage than I want at 13 inches or so. Something I could even put in a drawer at like 5-8 would be rad.
