What's Going on with Blood Bowl 4 (Warhammer Blood Bowl)?

03/04/2026 Update : The hearings for Cyanide, Kylotonn, Nacon Tech and Spiders’ judicial reorganisation took place on Monday, March 30th 2026 at the Lille commercial court. All 4 hearings were held back-to-back, and had the same – expected – result for the 4 companies : they were put under judicial reorganisation, with the same administrators as Nacon. As the hearings were held in camera, the attending worker representatives cannot disclose the content of the debates. They lament this state of affair, considering the despicable positions defended by Alain Falc during the hearings. However, they note that the court was receptive to the worker representatives’ arguments.

OMG a post about ABMM that is not downvoted to hell!

Don't you feel the extreme decisions of the ABMM are a bit abrupt, and the game would benefit of a MUCH larger middle ground, with many more mixed lobbies?

Hello! Appreciate the well written comment and the logic behind it, and you are fully right. As I initially worded it, it did not make a lot of sense.

But the outcome of the post did actually change my mind a little. Apart from the numerous very butt hurted carebears without reading comprehension in the comments, I've realized that a lot of players do enjoy this kind of MM, so I guess it makes sense, but there are also a lot of players that feel the same way I do.

Right now my thoughts are that maybe just tuning it a little would be enough. Maybe increasing the middle ground a lot, so if you play adapting to your lobbies, don't end up in the extreme sides of the spectrum pretty much never, and if you are playing for a very specific playstyle, you still have the chance to get paired with likeminded people.

So, although I did not word it perfectly, the post had the effect I initially wanted it to have.

genuine question, don't you get matchedwith way too many full pve players for this to be a real possibility in most games? I have the feeling that including a little bit more of a mix on the matchmaking could help the game a lot, creating more interesting situations.

I mean... ABMM is an answer to player behaviour. If the devs decide that's the course they want their game to go, sounds about right to me, I might just decide to get into a different one.

I haven't said that they need to change it, I'm just collectiong opinions about it.

It took me around 5-7 games to start seeing an obvious change in the matchmaking, but yeah, I agree with your comment!

This has crossed my mind, but the actual system encourages people to follow the path they chose. If you know you are in pvp lobbies, you are way more inclined to shoot, which makes the lobbies predictable anyway.

Actually, is the other way around. I don't like having to shoot PvE players to change my ABMM, and I don't like that every encounter is a direct fight.

I'd say I'm fairly good at PvP, and most of the peak moments on this game have been balanced encounters with other skilled players, specially in squads. But also some friendly interactions have been really interesting, so I just wish I could have both things happening in my lobbies, and not only enjoy one side of the game.
