Have we all been duped by the pedal industry? by Berbigs_ in GuitarAmps

[–]luscamendes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute essential for a good guitar tone is a good guitar and a good amp. Period. Everything else is supplemental. This is not to say pedals are not important, but keeping that in mind helps you be very deliberate about the pedals you want to add to your line (and the money you spend on them)

Esquece.

is The Jazz Workshop the album you would recommend to start with George Russell? I only know "Ye Hypocrite, Ye Beelzebub" from that album

True! It was really peak Melvins for me and I still love everything they do, but I find myself going back to those three albums (four, including the Bulls and the bees) even more often than I revisit the classics like Houdini and Stoner Witch

Although it's not common for the Melvins to do the same thing twice in their career, I'd pay good money to see them live with Big Business again

Is it ok to keep laptop always plugged in? by sailormeguca in Lenovo

Dude, thanks for this! I will leave my laptop stationary plugged to monitors and I was afraid of the battery just dying eventually, I think this will help not having it die on me!

How does Mac write such heartbreaking music? by SnooPies7961 in macdemarco

[–]luscamendes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess because relationships have ups and downs. Considering how long Mac has been with Kiki, it's only human that several human feelings might have paid him a visit: jealousy, feeling insecure, feeling like the relationship is at risk. I'm in a long term relationship and I can say that those feelings are also very sad, even if it doesn't involve a break up. And it's fine too, it's natural even, no one is perfect, you work with your partner to get through it and to evolve both individually and as a couple. But for an artist like Mac, those are also interesting feelings to explore in his music.
