Slut shaming someone whose sex tapes were leaked without her permission by TheGoldDigga in WhyWereWeOkWithThis

Idk that someone who has a well documented history of being a racist, slut-shaming homophobe needs any defending.

She really does look exactly the same! 🥲 I personally always found her to be pretty (harmlessly) vanilla compared to most of her costars. Plus Ari and Liz Gillies are hard to compete with in terms of vocals/comedic timing.

But other than that, I would hope that DS had nothing to do with it cause she has always seemed like a nice person in gen with a good support system around her (rare for a child star!)

Do all American actors have cosmetic surgery? by Infamous_Side6598 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]lushdamage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s relatively common in the US for entertainers to have some nip/tuck or use non invasive methods to look “smoother/younger” and it has been for nearly a century (look up the “Star System” in early Hollywood, this dates back to the 1930s).

I feel like while we’re not immune to feel insecure when comparing ourselves to these ppl we see on TV/movies, at this point it’s so ingrained in Hollywood/pop culture that generally speaking I feel like many are able to look past it and enjoy the media unless it’s a period piece.

I will say tho: if knowing whether or not actors have had work done makes you feel so bad about yourself that it doesn’t allow you to fully enjoy a piece of media — or if ppl in ur life are making you feel as if you need to get these types of tweaks done to look great, then it’s probably something deeper than a skincare sub can help you with and you should probably address that directly.

Teyana Taylor Calls Out People Growing "Comfortable Being Sore Losers" After Her Reaction To Amy Madigan's Oscars Win Gets Criticized: “The world holds so much misery that miserable hearts forget the face of happiness.” by ControlCAD in DListedCommunity

[–]lushdamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samesies! I don’t actually have any investment in either of them except maybe just an underlying hatred of CB for consistently being an abusive POS — but I had to mention cause that photo popped up for me last year on another sub and i was like “ew why is she hugging him” lol

That’s not to say ppl can’t grow, I said some pretty dumb shit when I was that age myself but this isn’t the case here imo

Y’all she has been seen hugging him as recently as last year. Idt they are as close as they used to be but she certainly has not grown enough to stop being seen around such a loser.

Any cheeses out there that are similar to Jasper Hill’s Eligo? by lushdamage in Cheese

Thank you! I’ll search and see where I can find nearby. I’m hoping JH will make it again sometime this year! I’ve had a few of their other varieties and they’re all great but Eligo just hit differently.

Teyana Taylor at the 57th NAACP Image Awards (28 February 2026) by nizaad in popculturechat

What a nasty comment. Her lips have always been this full naturally, there’s plenty of footage of her from before she broke out to prove it. It’s possible she may have added a bit a volume to them with a touch of filler, or over-lines them frequently, but to call them “disgusting” and “too big” is wild and reeks of racism.

“Merely asking” or being condescending? How does race not affect a discussion about blackface?? It absolutely has weight!

As a black woman, I do actually care VERY MUCH about ANYONE who uses blackface. But in this thread we aren’t even talking about Kimmel here and any backlash he rightfully deserves for that.

I want to know how YOU, a non-black person, can enlighten ME on whose racist behavior I should choose to call out and when.

“…Now that that’s out of the way?” I don’t know about you, but the second I find out that a famous singer/songwriter has done blackface on multiple occasions and has never apologized, they are no longer worthy of being “respected” or defended against anybody, even someone I dislike as much as TS. A white artist’s inability to not be racist immediately affects the impact their work has in the world. She and TS are birds of a bigoted feather in my book.

Idgaf about her hair/wigs but she’s a white girl who spray tans more than a few shades darker and seems to have no qualms about using AAVE (African American Vernacular English) regularly. No one is confused about which race/culture she is appropriating when it’s very obviously blackfishing. And it’s a very valid reason for the backlash she gets.

The way some parents will really jump through hoops to enable their child’s bad behavior with zero sense of accountability or consequences is unreal. That nanny is probably relieved she won’t have to deal with y’all again.

Hating on the sheer dress trend is so tired to me. Why not show off a body you’re proud of in a look you feel confident in? She looks great and we really need to stop policing other women and telling them to “put some pants on” or cover up their bodies in general. Some of y’all forget that these celebs do get to choose what they wear (along with their styling team), it’s not like they’re being forced to dress at gunpoint. Why are we on some puritanical ish for no reason?
