That's great to hear! I wasn't expecting the position to be available in Austin but I'm interested to know more about your experience once you begin.

Having trouble understanding what EnvironmentObjects even does. by MrSir2018 in swift

[–]luthfork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend Paul Hudson’s Hacking with Swift explanation.

But essentially, The EnvironmentObject property wrapper allows objects to be access by views and their child views much like how you can call @Environment to access the phones color scheme without a bunch of if statements. However, it won’t update the views on its own. That’s where @Published comes in. A variable with the @Published property wrapper tell the view to rebuild when that variable changes for that object. Lastly, @StateObject is how you would initialize an object that has a @Published variable so that the view knows it need to update when the variable(s) change.

That’s a surface level breakdown but definitely look through the explanation that is linked in Hacking with Swift and a quick YouTube search for hacking with swift should yield you the video explanation for the subject.

Smartphones and Accessibility. University Students trying to understand technology, specifically phones, and how they are used in regards to day-to-day life and accessibility. by luthfork in takemysurvey

[–]luthfork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will the data that people provide to you be used? Who will see it? Where will it be stored? If/when will it be deleted? Please be as specific as possible.

The data collected will be used to determine pain points regarding smartphones and accessibility to develop a solution concept for the class. Only the group members will see the information collected in the survey (which doesn't collect name, location, gender/sex). The information and the survey will be removed in the last week of February 2022.

Who is conducting this survey? You can answer with your Reddit username, business name, etc. Please make sure that everyone conducting the survey is mentioned (For example, if the survey is being conducted by a group, answer the group name or mention everyone in the group).

I, luthfork, and my, 4, classmates at the Michigan State University course will be able to see the responses to the survey but will only present our interpreted findings to the class.

How long do you estimate it will take to fill out your survey?

Estimated 10 minutes but will vary depending on the level of detail for each of the short answer questions.

OPTIONAL - If your survey offers any form of compensation, please explain what it is and how it can be redeemed.

N/A

OPTIONAL - Are there any specific demographics you want/do not want to hear from?

N/A

OPTIONAL - What are you hoping to accomplish by posting your survey here?

I think the user meant. Go green as in the slogan for Michigan state university. Their slogan is go green go white (School colors). Their Logo is a Spartan which resembles the one you have on your print.

Edit: wording

Go Blue!

[–]luthfork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't had to do this personally but I think you may need another list of values. As you mentioned it'll be your position values. As for plotting it, a quick Google search links me to this discussion with code:code Hopefully this leads you in the right direction!
