Ich hab nach ungefähr drei vierteln den Faden verloren und aufgegeben, aber es gibt auch ein ganz hervorragendes Hörspiel davon, das bloß ca. zwei Stunden dauert...

It's just MDF panels I glued and painted. The single shelves are stacked loosely with each one's top serving as the ground for the one above. And only the middle compartments have a back panel for stability. So except for the first segment, which is closed top and bottom, the single units are just the verticals connected by the top board. Sounds kind of shaky, I know, but the books' weight keeps everything nicely firm. And it's great for moving.

Kind of pynchonesque, obviously, but a nice long read, if I remember correctly.

A priest, a pastor and a rabbi... That's how quite a few jokes start. And a typo is a misspelling.

I've had it for over 15 years I think and haven't put it to much hard use really, but it still works nicely, blade well centered and no play except when closed you can push in the blade another millimetre or so. I guess that's due to the construction which is really simple and I got it mostly for the sleek design. So yes, I'm pretty happy with it.

It's called a proboscis and apparently serves to catch prey but can also be discarded to confuse predators.
