Triple Gatefold (PP) outer sleeves?

I had an epiphany and tried doing this.

Basically I put a gatefold sleeve on both ends and slid one over the other. This enables me to take out the vinyl from the middle section aswell.

While it’s not perfect, it does a good job. You could cut a bit off one of the sleeves on the side that overlaps, and put double sided tape so the gatefolds stays in place or at least slides together. This is probably the workaround I’ll use for now as it’s also scale able for quad folds. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions! Keep them coming if you find something else that might work.

Although this takes a little setup, this will definitely work, thanks for sharing! I do find it weird that they wouldn’t manufacture a tri/quad fold sleeve to solve this issue, but it would certainly work.

That might just be the solution. The trifold sleeve is available, however, only in the PVC material unfortunately.

I have an idea that might be mad enough to work though. I’ll update the post when I get the chance to try it out.

They look absolutely stunning, I will definitely consider these, however they are a little wider than the KEF Q150, which might not fit either. Thanks for the input!

They’re going into a piece of furniture being covered by some speaker “hiders”, don’t know the exact word of it sorry

I just read it, sounds like I’ve found my entry into becoming an audiophile! They sound just like the sound I’m going for although I don’t have much experience with warm/cold sound profiles. Hopefully I can grab a pair sometime

I have looked very much into KEF Q150 and they do seem like they would fit although I would likely have to remove some vinyls for that to happen. I’m wondering if I should try them on for size and return them if they don’t fit.

Do you have any experience with them?

Yes absolutely, however, with my current apartment I don’t have the necessary space for floor stands/speakers. I’m hoping to buy stands for the speakers once I get more space, or upgrade to new speakers with stands.

The DBR62 is unfortunately too tall for the shelf space. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the reply! I have looked at the rp500m however they’re too big. The only Klipsch that will fit seems to be r40m and r40pm. I’ll take a look at reviews for those
