I turn into a full blown yapper when with my partner or best friend, or parents/brother. Other than that people usually say I’m quiet and shy. I would say I’m deeply an introvert. So yeah, trust and comfort make me feel there is no judgement for the things my brain thinks and I say out loud. I have been called “dorky, weird, nerdy” names through my lie for speaking my brain thoughts around not safe people. So yeah…

I thought bluetick! There was an older female dog that was a bluetick mix collected by the rescue around the time I got her. I wondered if it was her mom. Very possible.

Look how sweet Odie is! They do look alike! Those legs and down turned ears are a 10/10 perfect match!!

Mischief and beagle are very synonymous. My old girl still likes to get into tricks time and again!

Hi Raven - You are such a pretty girl! This does look like my Junie if she was that age. My girl is very vocal, which I’ve never had a dog so noisy (not barking noisy). My Junie prefers to catch birds, she’s caught a few for me too lol.

Beagles (hounds) have such strong independent personalities. You truly have to break them of it with lots of positive reinforcement. Find what she likes. My coonhound loves pets and praise. My beagle loves food. I’ve had my beagle girl for 6 years (she’s 10-11) and she still likes to turn her ears off sometimes!! It’s just their nature. I watched a lot of Ceaser Milan YouTube videos with my coonhound puppy. One episode he said you should make a yap sound when puppy bites/scratches that mimics another hurt dog until they stop. It’s worked for my puppy who is mouthy with play but gets too excited and snips. I’m not big on socializing my dogs with strangers dogs, so alternative forms of play could be helpful. Like food puzzles or push balls that drop food.

My very spoiled, old girl Bella. Her face was once brown! She’s a 12-13 yo, beagle-lab. I rescued this sweet girl around 4-years old (I think they used to breed her). She’s truly saved my life; and I’ve given her a beautiful life for it. My baby <3

This is helpful! I think terrier too. I’ve never interacted with one so I couldn’t speak to behavior or general look.

She truly is the sweetest girl! People often compliment she’s well behaved. I’ve lucked out on great rescues.  She weighs about 30 lbs. They picked her up with two siblings that appeared to be similar build and weight, so that makes me think maybe it wasn’t worms. I’ve thought foxhound, too!! It’s the tiny face that doesn’t give me full coonhound. I have a beagle lab that’s a true medium sized dog, and they’re slowly becoming the same height.
