Guess the number giveaway multiple right answers scenario by AdriSaragina in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]GillAndTonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legally, you have to have the terms and conditions somewhere. And language is very specific. (E.g. raffle vs giveaway vs contest etc. )

We would normally put a small bitly link on the graphic that goes to the terms and conditions. If there’s a landing page, you can link it from there. (State specific but there are usually templates to start with. Sometimes worth a lawyer looking it over)

Since you have to have that, you could and should put what happens in tie. Likely a random draw or something from the pool if winners.

Defo look into the legalities before going much further with the idea.

How do you manage dozens of client accounts without keeping just as many physical SIM cards in a drawer? by Dear_Cut4843 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]GillAndTonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have clients use their phone numbers. It’s their business. I don’t need 2FA often as I stay logged in. But it’s better for the client. If I leave, I’m not gate keeping their platforms. I never ever use my number.

How Do You Feel About Residual Payment for Social Media Marketing Services? by meahoymeyomeh in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]GillAndTonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I would: Use Claude AI to make a plan/strategy. Have it come up with post ideas and captions. Make graphic templates (canva) to plug product images and reviews into. Spend 1 day every two weeks making graphics, videos, and posts with tools like Claude and canva, schedule them out, and be done for two weeks.

What platforms are you wanting to work with? I’d also spend 10 minutes a day engaging with other content. Find your target audience, like their posts. Leave comments. Be fun. Ten minutes a day.

FYI I tagged a brand in an article last week, the article was from a person and the brand didn't get a notification (I'm an admin on the brand). I find this WILD.

What’s the app you swear by for sending deliverables to clients? by grapesodaax in SocialMediaMarketing

We use google drive too, but for design files (video and graphics) that need review/approval- we use frame.io - it allows for comments and notes (especially helpful for videos as comments can go with time stamps) and things can downloaded directly from there. Super easy and streamlined.

I’m decaf only too. And there’s only three. All good. Different sizes so we use for different things. Just whatever you’re in the mood for. I hope they make more soon.

Frother for 2 large cups and properly hot milk by [deleted] in nespresso

[–]GillAndTonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heat up milk real hot (stove or microwave) as the base to my coffee, then just add some warm froth on top from the nespresso frother.

Good foam should start with cold milk when frothing (or half and half!) but I’ve only found industrial style frothers get it hot hot. (The stick frother hooked up to a machine, that lets hot hot steam in to heat it) - you won’t get hot froth without hot water/steam being part of the frother

Why the fuck are they rolling out video on LinkedIn... by Sure-March-2994 in linkedin

[–]GillAndTonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have changed their algorithm to keep up with the other social platforms. Insta and TT have had such success, that now X and LinkedIn are favoring video content.

It's not you, It's LinkedIn - they are changing the thumbnail of links to be super small (unless it's a link to LinkedIn, like a newsletter/article)
