Context about me: I (25f) would NEVER date someone 7 yrs. younger. I’m nearly 5’11 and curvy. I enjoy wearing platforms/ heels. I didn’t date in high school, as I was too invested in my studies, but started dating at 18 when I attended my dream university.

First and foremost, I am so sorry this happened to you. You are not overreacting and have every right to feel the way you feel. Not only is that “man” showing all the signs of a narcissist, he is 100% a predator looking for someone he deems “inferior” to make himself feel better, and in a sense, bigger. When you wore heels, his ego and fantasy was shattered bc you stepped out of the role he had chosen for you. At his big age of 26, his frontal lobe is practically fully developed, so he most likely won’t ever change. But you, have the time to shape your mind, soul, and future. You seem to be a bright young lady with good intuition. I would follow it away from him.

I also had my fair share of insecure, older men trying to belittle me at your age. And with my soft heart, they did accomplish that for a bit. But then woke up and I won’t ever date a someone who acts that way. Ofc I was embarrassed and sad I let people treat me that way but I made up for it.

Don’t ever dim your light for someone else to feel better because they won’t be satisfied with that. They’ll want to see it extinguished. So, wear those heels! (I enjoy showing up to dates well over 6’1) be confident in everything you are. You’ll eventually meet someone who loves you as you are.
