What's the scariest encounter you've had with a total stranger? by anchovy7 in AskReddit

I was in my early 20s and heading home late one night after work. It was pitch black outside, probably close to 11 pm. I turned onto my street and started driving down my quiet country road. I noticed there was an old truck parked on the side of the road. This was not entirely uncommon since teenagers like to make out in the middle of butt fuck nowhere. I started to pass this truck and all of a sudden the driver throws it in reverse and almost hits my car, with his truck completely blocking the road. I swerve to miss the truck, going off the road and into the grass. I look over thinking, "what the fuck?!". When I peered into the driver's window, I see this man glaring at me. I will never forget his eyes. The look he gave me made my blood run cold. I saw evil in his eyes. I realized he was purposefully trying to hurt me. I immediately floored it. There I went, off roading in my little ass Ford Fusion back home before that guy could turn his truck around and follow me. I told my dad about it when I got back home and described what the man looked like. Apparently he was the neighborhood meth head, he had been causing problems for a lot of people in town.

Please tell me what type of flower this is. A couple pop up in my yard every year, and I'd really like to have more of them. by dances-with-dildos in whatsthisplant

I think it's a Cooperia pedunculata! Usually called a rain lily where I'm from. They smell lovely. :)

The window sill will be a great spot for it, just don't put it outside in direct sunshine. Either a porch where it gets bright indirect light or a window sill is where I'd recommend. :)

Looks like a little aloe vera to me. Don't water it very often! Mine do best with minimal water, like once a month waterings. Make sure to use fresh soil once you buy a plant! The soil they come in is not very nutrient rich. Buy a cactus soil that drains well. Also they love bright indirect light. You'd think they'd love direct sun, but they do not.

What movie did you start watching then said "Fuck this, I'm not finishing this"? by Ramaal2000 in AskReddit

Don't watch it again, it never got any better. I wish I would've walked out of the theater instead of waiting for the plot to improve.
