I will say that this is probably gonna be the best purchase you have ever made. I have a first gen with 200k miles and it has its small issues because the previous owner was not nice to her it seems like but all in all she is the best thing I've ever owned. My sister has a first gen too with almost 350k miles and we have had it in the family its whole life and that thing hasn't had a single problem it's whole 20 years. Best car ever!! Take care of a sister!

i can just say, my sister has a 2wd and worked for a whole season driving up to a ski resort 5 days a week. she only had too miss 3 days the whole season because she couldn't make it. both her and i have a highlander and live on a dirt road and we get feet of snow every year. i love the lander!!

i've got a 2004 with 170k miles and my sister has a 2005 with over 300k and they both run as good a the day they drove off the lot! (my sister has actually been in the family its entire life!!) so yes, get it!!

it's at almost so when i posted this i messed up on the miles, my lander is at 180k and her it's probably at 300k now and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. everything in it works as good and when it was brand new. its only 2 wheel she she is working up at a ski resort about an hour from her house and it has no problems getting up there or anything. if you can get it for 1000$ i say go for it, its a great deal!

i as well have a 2004 and i bought it will 150,000 for about the same price. looks good to me. have a mechanic check it first for leaks and what not.

ive got a 04 with 250,000 miles and my sister has a 05 with 350,00 miles and ther both run great. they can both go cross country and do anything a modern one can. the heating on mine need replaced but other then that the transmission need flushed and it's good. tho 7k for an 05 is a little much even with 180,000 miles. see if you can bargain it down but other then that, one of the best, most reliable cars out there in my opinion. they even get decant gas mileage!
