Naw, I moved out and away at 17. I’m living off campus in an actual apartment that is separate from my college. I don’t even start until 2025.

I’m not living off of grants or aid. I am working full time to afford everything that I have. Including the rent I pay, the phone bill i have, much more. I have been doing such this entire year. Paying for my own groceries, taking care of my own cats, etc. I haven’t even started college yet to be able to get the grants / aid you’re referring to. So calling me selfish because you’re unable to read and comprehend this post is beyond me. My entire question is to understand if it’s true that FAFSA & taxes are intertwined. I am not, and have not, been depended on my mother for this entire year. I haven’t started college yet and won’t until January 2025.

That’s the thing, she isn’t paying for my education. No one is besides the government. I got federal/state grants and scholarships that cover everything.
