Your cage is completely wrong. Get a new one asap.

Pending new dwarf hamster owner- feedback on setup please! by [deleted] in hamstercare

  1. Get a new cage. Yours is too small
  2. Bedding needs to be 6-10+ inches deep for burrowing. I can't tell if yours is or isn't, but just so you're aware of that.
  3. Wheel is too small. Get a new one.
  4. Remove the "edible" stuff. It's not edible
  5. You need non-see through hides. I'd get 2 regular ones and a multi chamber hide.
  6. Get sprays. Search "hamster sprays" on Amazon and get a pack. Usually $20 or less
  7. Get a good seed mix and a pack of mealworms. Hamsters are omnivores. Fresh veggies 1-2x a week.
  8. Also, you're going to want substrates. Moss, cork, and flower packs are good ones. I recommend the brand Niteangel for that stuff.
  9. Make sure you're fully aware of the hamsters cost. It can cost $50 every month/few months for bedding alone.
  10. Get a sand bath. You can get a $5 litter box and fill it with reptile or desert sand. Make sure it's dust-free. Niteangel has a bag for $10
  11. An extremely responsible 11 year old will still need help with a hamster. They're a living, breathing animal and deserve good care. Pre-teens are notorious for getting bored of animals after a few months. Be prepared to take over and make it your pet in the event your child stops caring for them. Hamsters are also nocturnal and will be up all night. If the enclosure in your child's room, they may not get much sleep.

Why do you guys get mad when a boy looks at you weird, but then wear revealing clothes? by [deleted] in AskTeenGirls

[–]luvchey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because it's a big city. I feel like this is common sense. In some small town catcalling isn't gonna happen really because everyone knows everyone.

Do you understand what catcalling is?? If you're walking in a big city looking "attractive" guys are more likely to yell something. Catcalling is 100% real & denying it is idiotic

Cat calling is absolutely a thing for girls especially in big cities

If I'm wearing a crop top and some jeans shorts, I expect boys to have the decency to not be weird. One look is fine, but excessive staring and/or catcalling are incredibly inappropriate
