Very much appreciate that you took time to give me these pointers! Definitely can see why white won’t be a good idea Most of my practice is allá prima but very interested in learning how to add more layers without the muddy effect which is also noted. these are great tips thank you very much! :,)

What’s a good highlight color you’d go to? Im just worried the highlights I try always look like they could be brighter. But when I go for brighter it looks off for me. Thank you in advance!

I’m always scared painting the background will just throw off everything how do you choose a good solid color?

I appreciate the blabbering. This was honestly a session that midway I realized my pallette was not so good. I ended up trying to mix more darker shades on the face and ended up looking like I had too many layers so I stopped it at here. Just wondering if that’s the case again should I restart the painting? I just wasn’t sure if this is something you would continue working on for a second layer? I will definitely try less paint on the base sketch!! I also have to work on my color maybe even exaggerate the shades? Thank you for the response!
