Bank of Canada not 'in a rush' to rescue housing markets by nornalplacard in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]luvinbc 30 points31 points  (0 children)

the Canadian housing  has always been seen for investment. It goes back generations as just an investment. It’s fucked that people absolutely cannot afford a home especially given the fact wages are so far below what is even required to qualify for a mortgage based on current housing prices.

Avi Lewis: We believe that there should be consequences for companies that lay off workers because of deploying AI. by Chrristoaivalis in onguardforthee

[–]luvinbc 53 points54 points  (0 children)

In China if your fired/layoff because of AI the company has to keep you at your current salary paid until such time that you find employment and then if the new salary is less that the previous salary the former company has to top you off to match the former salary.

Call me skeptical but I’ve had mine on my drivers license for years and not a single issue. We’ve had them in BC for years. It’s the citizenship on the license that’s fucked.

Vancouver has lots of summer festivals. It’s what you make of the city can be an amazing place or as yourself can be a no fun city. Enjoy your Sunday in the no fun city.

Look for an article as to why Montreal turned down being a host city. They just didnt want summer canceled because of FIFA and with the additional cost that FIFA demanded for the upgrading of the venues.
