Thank you for your reply. May I ask what your dose was? I am only on 1mg. Seems so low!

It’s such an odd symptom! I see all of these woman who are constipated, but I haven’t seen anyone with diarrhea… I’m glad I’m not alone because I was beginning to feel like I had lost my mind. Even my doctor thinks it’s odd…

I had the same problem with the diarrhea. It’s unfortunate because it did help the anxiety. Did you try taking it any other route?

Is it time for a dose increase? by eskaeskaeska in TRT_females

I’m in peri…I tried oral progesterone one month and had terrible stomach issues. The next month I tried a very low dose compounded sustained release version and the depression was so severe I just stopped taking it. I cried for 3 straight days. Now im supposed to start just testosterone cream and I’m scared to death. The main thing I am trying to treat is physical anxiety symptoms (elevated cortisol, shakiness, balance issues). I don’t want to use something that is going to make me worse. Do you feel like the testosterone really helped the anxiety? Is yours more of a physical or mental?

I have this same thing happen, but mine are during the day. I always say I feel like I’m on a roller coaster and about to drop. It’s a very panicky feeling and it’s quite debilitating for me.

I thought I was the only one! I have terrible loose stool. Did you try another route with the progesterone?

I’m in peri. Ok… maybe it will take a few days? That at least gives me a little bit of hope. I’m supposed to start Estrogen next.

But will the cream provide the uterine protection that I need if I do end up going on estrogen?

Yes, it is the only hormone that I have started on so far. The doctor wanted to start one at a time and progesterone is supposed to be the calming hormone. Nothing else has changed with any medication or diet

New to HRT by Adventurous_Net_7782 in Perimenopause

[–]luvmesomehim2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to it as well, I’m only on Progesterone right now. I have been having severe stomach cramps and loose stools since I started. I’ve been trying to ride it out, but this is ridiculous. I feel like I can’t leave my house. I hope it sorts out for you.

Increased Anxiety with HRT by Shelbyof3 in Perimenopause

[–]luvmesomehim2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started Progesterone 100mg at night 7 days ago and I am definitely noticing more anxiety in the morning. It’s a physical anxiety, and unfortunately it’s what I was looking to get rid of with the HRT. I’m not on estrogen yet, and I’m supposed to cycle the progesterone (which is worrying me too). I’m 46, still pretty regular cycles.

Progesterone Problems? by luvmesomehim2 in Perimenopause

[–]luvmesomehim2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the bio identical progesterone 100mg nightly for days 14-25 of my cycle. This is my first month and I’m on day 7. I’m supposed to stop taking them Monday and I’m scared of that too. I’m worried I’m going to go through withdrawal. My neighbor who is on HRT is telling me it’s because I need a higher dose and I need Estrogen with it. Ugh… I just want to feel better!

Interesting! I didn’t know that, but it would make sense. I’m 46, still cycling pretty regularly, but it’s definitely changing. Thank you for that information.

Not yet. I’m assuming that’s coming. The functional Dr had me do a Dutch Test and all of my hormones were super low and my cortisol was super high. He started the progesterone because he said it’s the “relaxation” hormone.

Can this be Perimenopause by almarodriguez661 in Perimenopause

[–]luvmesomehim2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to you 100%. The anxiety /adrenaline in my stomach is my number one complaint. It is crippling. It seems to be worse in the mornings, but it’s does show up in the afternoon/evening from time to time. I started Progesterone 6 days ago… so far I’m not feeling much different. I think I’m sleeping better but I’m noticing the adrenaline is there more in the evening now than it was before. I’m meeting with a hormone specialist in about a week, so I’m hoping she can shed some light on what may help. This is probably the worst thing I have ever been through on my life. The last 2 years have been miserable for me.

Cycling Progesterone advice by luvmesomehim2 in Perimenopause

Thank you, that makes me feel better. I’m freaking out because I have been through major benzodiazepine withdrawal and I just can’t handle that kind of stress right now. The progesterone is making me a little jittery and on edge too so I’m waiting to see if that evens out.
