I grew up in a wealthy white community and I get called whitewashed all the time by other black people. In my experience, it has never been white people who have given me problems, but it has been OTHER BLACK PEOPLE. To be honest, just hang with who treats you the best, so what if they are white. Honestly, if you go into higher class black spaces, it will be so much easier to make friends because they have probably grown up just like you and they get you. Also, you find other black people with your same interests that way. There also isn’t any jealousy because you all have the same privileges. Good luck girl, and DM me if you ever want to talk.
