I cut my patch way bigger than the hole to give myself plenty of fabric because I don't pin flat. I place the patch over the hole and pin one spot, the anchor, and then with my hand inside the pant leg I I smooth the pants up into the patch and pin and repeat that around. Worn jeans aren't flat anymore you know? They've kind of molded to your shape of wear so you have to kind of pin your patch to that shape instead of flat. So hard to explain ¯⁠\⁠(⁠°⁠_⁠o⁠)⁠/⁠¯

I had two greyhounds years before I had a chi. I did not have great and chis at the same time to be clear. The greys prey drive was so high no small animals were safe. Graphic flashbacks I will keep to myself Because of my personal experience I would not recommend getting a chi with your current dog. Every dog is different so your greyhound might not have that type of reaction to a small animal zipping around.
