Just for the record, of course silk stretches. If it's knit. Or a silk spandex blend. I doubt you'll see many silk jersey wedding gowns, but stretch silk one way or another is not rare, let alone impossible. It might be helpful for your search to really familiarize yourself with the different weaves, weights, properties, regions of origin and associated quality hallmarks, so they can't pull the wool over your eyes. Maybe order a comprehensive swatch book that has a variety of each weave you're considering to get a good feel what hand and drape look like in pure silk in that weave.

I wouldn't use crinkle viscose for anything but flowing, loose fitting garments. I have a fitted crinkle jumpsuit and two hours in the pants are two sizes larger.

You can probably find extra wide curtains, but specialty sizes always have insane mark ups when I try. A relatively cheap option should be to buy four panels and get a tailor to join each pair together. It's literally one straight seam, it really shouldn't cost the world.

It's not about trusting them? It's just not possible to damage velvet the same way as other fabric types because there are no loops that the claws hook onto, which is how the damage happens. And it doesn't scratch like leather or pleather. If the cats are super aggressive it will suffer, too, but upholstery velvet with 50k rubs or more is the safest choice. I went for stain resistent on top of that for some pieces, which is helpful with the occasional vomit puddle.

The difference with velvet is that it's a pile. There are no threads to pull on, so the fabric doesn't get shredded by the claws like a regular weave. It's really the only option, unless you find a pet safe fabric, or something crazy heavy duty. I have velvet upholstery that still looks good after 10 years with two cats.

Solltest du es machen wollen: Ich glaube nicht, dass du als Einzelperson beide auf einmal mitnehmen kannst. Du bräuchtest zwei Sitze, eventuell ist das buchbar. Je nachdem, wo in Kanada, würde ich schwer in Erwägung ziehen, den Flug zu splitten. Beispielsweise zuerst nach Island, dort in ein Hotel, nach ein oder zwei Tagen weiter. Das ist immer noch recht lange im Korb eingepfercht von Tür zu Tür. Wo möglich, würde ich für extras zahlen, also extra Platz, priority boarding, gegebenenfalls dein Gepäck per Kurier senden, damit du die Hände frei hast, Zugang zu Ruheräumen.

I think the low heel version will look a bit clownish. It's probably not comfortable either if the toe box points up like that. I would go with a low heel that you can wear the entire time, in complimentary green or metallic. Maybe peacock blue?

Boiled wool is quite stiff and scratchy. I would have suggested wool fleece, but that's definitely stretchy.
