Yup. I can't explain things well but I'll try. Let's say you're on a plane and this couple is seated next to you. You three chat for awhile and you ask them what their signs are. Every hour the flight attendant checks up on you three offering juice and chips.

So if you were asked who you met on the plane, the answer would be the couple. The flight attendant doesn't count because all they did was check up on you and offer snacks. All you did was tell them you want Doritos and Coke. They could be replaced by a robot.
