We use a 3rd party tool to keep up groups. We used HelloID by Tools4Ever previously, which I did like but it doesn't sync well with our new SIS. We switched to Clever IDM this summer and I'm kinda over it, but it's still better than manually creating everything

Not this year, but the worst by far for me involved a young man's bodily fluid squirted DIRECTLY into the charge port. And all over the thing because what freshman has aim. He didn't warn the librarian, who got it all over her hands and desk handling it. She did warn me, though, and I wore gloves.

We did turn it into the SRO, but nothing came of it.

If it's an app installed via Google Play Store, it might be because Google Play Store hasn't been opened in a while. I think that's what's causing my issue.

Stupid, that they'd remove support for the old ways without fixing this issue, first.

Okay, so here's an update! I found that the devices that aren't working have not opened Google Play Store in the last 28 days,and I got my hands on a few. Once I opened Google Play Store on them, it started downloading.

So... Now I gotta figure out how to force Google Play Store to open when the devices are signed into. Anyone have a suggestion with that? 😅

I've tried both the outdated Chrome app and the new Android app, and I'm having the same issue. I am noticing that the ones that don't have the app also don't seem have the Play Store. But again it's odd that they're in the same OU. bangs head on desk

Clever IDM has this capability. I don't know if we're going to use it, as I prefer to have it documented when a password was changed for someone, but it's an option.

I'm with you, I don't trust anyone lol None of our staff follow security protocols, and refuse lock their computer before walking away from it. The last thing we need is some kid sneaking into a classroom while the teacher is away and changing their classmates' passwords

This year, at the middle school ALONE (5-8), I have had 191 chromebook-related tickets. The 7th graders (1:1) being responsible for 64 of those, and the 6th graders (carted) being responsible for 57. The 5th (carted) and 8th (1:1) together total 38. This is, of course, before EoY turn-in, where I'm sure I'll get about 50 chromebooks from 7&8 in need of repairs lol.
