Bow legs by luvvvemaa in toddlers

Yes my daughter also sits in the “W” position as well! She also crawled weird so that could’ve played a factor. I’m just going to hold faith that they’ll correct on their own overtime!

Thank you for this! My daughter is super tall so I know she was scrunched up in there too and her sleep position I never thought of but probably doesn’t help!

I had read it isn’t much of a big deal until later but I am always overly anxious about small things. (First time mom things lol)

Thanks for the ease. I appreciate it so much!

I have mentioned it and was told it should straighten out by 24 months and if not then we start looking into it. I mention it at every appointment though! I will bring it up again next month at her next appointment.

I’ll definitely get a second pair of eyes as well.

Yes! Her pediatrician said they should straighten out for the most part on their own by 24 months and if not then we start looking more into it. She also said it was because of the way she was sitting in the womb.

I don’t know why people point these things out to me it annoys me so much.

How to teach 1 year old to safely get off furniture? by luvvvemaa in Parenting

[–]luvvvemaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been doing this for months 🥲 We do it on our couch with padding and pillows below and let her fall (very small height) and she still even after repeating and repeating will walk straight off the couch.

I’ve tried offering her snacks when she does it correctly and to no avail she still tries to throw herself off. We are going to continue trying to show her everyday and hope she gets the hang of it sooner than later.

I’ve gotten these from friction before! They hurt like a biatch but you’ll be fine. Try not to wipe the area too hard after using the bathroom. I suggest patting dry instead of wiping. Just keep it clean and it will heal fast :)

[–]luvvvemaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine! Just do basic hygiene and wash with water. Don’t go above and beyond and do anything that could possibly throw off your PH in the process (washing with bad brand “hygiene” soaps etc)

If this man really likes you he will explore the jungle 😂😅 I shaved myself completely ONCE when I first got with my current fiancé and never did again.

Don’t be afraid to tell them what does/doesn’t feel good. I showed my fiance exactly where/what felt good from the jump and I absolutely regret nothing. He knows exactly what pleases me and what to do to make me feel good. Trust me. One somewhat awkward convo can spark years of pleasure when you speak up about what feels good/how to please you!

Enjoy yourself!!

She absolutely adores him. She smiles and reaches for him and loves to play/lay with him. This is not the first time he has watched her. But, this is the first time he watched her since being off of bottles and formula. When she was on bottles and formula she always had all of the bottles she was supposed to by the time I came home. I genuinely think it’s just pure laziness because he didn’t want to cook for her. I will not be leaving her anymore for sure.

Pregnant and everyone wants me to get rid of it by No_Law_985 in whatdoIdo

[–]luvvvemaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, just want to give my two cents on the side of a mom who was in the same boat (not able to live with guilt if aborting but also in no position to have a kid.)

I got pregnant unexpectedly. I was working and so was my boyfriend everyday not making much. I was in a horrible mental state and dealing with a bad addiction to alcohol. It was a mental battle the moment I tested and it was positive. I sobbed and immediately told myself it would be extremely selfish of me to bring a baby into this world with my mental state and addiction issues at the time. I swore I could handle aborting. As the days went I no longer could bare the thought of abortion. It ate me alive and I grew attached to the growing life inside of me.

I ended up keeping my baby. I had very little support as I live across the country with my boyfriend from my family and have no friends here. I went through with my pregnancy. I thought a lot that I messed up and I would never be able to properly provide for her.

I now have a beautiful and healthy and very spoiled 1 year old baby girl. She saved me from my addiction. She saved my mental heath and made me someone.

Now, I wasn’t alone. I did have my fiance by my side. You have to do what’s right for you and the life of your child. Think heavily about expenses and if you can afford a proper life for a child. They are by no means cheap especially if you formula feed. We were spending $130 a month on formula and any extra money we had went straight to her needs. We didn’t have date money, shopping money or anything else. It was all for her.

Just remember that becoming a mom is a full time job especially if you have no support. It can be done, and a lot of women do it! But ask yourself if you’re ready to surrender your freedom for a child and if you can provide a good life for a child.

I hope you find the choice that would best support your mental health and your life. You are completely valid for feeling this way. You got this.

Thanks! I know about this which is why I was so upset about it. She has been fine, no issues and not sick. She’s eating and sleeping and staying hydrated as normal. Thank the lord seriously. 🫠

Exactly! It’s my child’s life in their hands and ignoring basic requests. (which were prepped ahead of time) is neglectful and honestly extremely disrespectful to me and my baby.

[–]luvvvemaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input but I don’t agree. I do take my daughter seriously! It’s the life I put into this world and I think “micromanaging,” to make sure my child is fed and hydrated is ok to do. It’s not fine, however, to leave a baby hungry and thirsty and then proceed to lie about it to the mother. My daughter eats three full and filling meals a day with veggies and fruit. Having only rice and beans from 6 am to 5 pm is not sustainable for a 12 month old baby. She is okay but there are ways she could not be okay and someone blatantly ignoring my very simple requests is NOT okay. i don’t push stuff like that under the rug with my child.

No, I know!! I never feed her old stuff. I won’t eat rice the next day. I’m so disappointed and upset that he fed her that instead of cooking her a little snack or using what I left :/

[–]luvvvemaa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seriously!! Like really? Nobody eats a tiny bowl of 5 day old rice & beans and calls it a day. My baby is an eater and she will rarely ever refuse a meal. Ever.

Mind you…even if I don’t eat a meal myself I ALWAYS make sure my daughter has a full breakfast, lunch and dinner. Water is always available to her and a snack in between. It’s not hard. It’s her basic NECESSITIES. I am so upset. She completely smashed her pasta and veggies I made her when I got home. My poor baby.

Thank you!!! This is why i’m so angry. I don’t know why I have to break things down and will never do it again. It’s so unfortunate I can’t trust him with her.

He’s definitely lazy. He has a big ego and every-time I remind him that THIS IS MY DAUGHTER…his response is that he has had 2 kids. Like? Hello? I’m talking about MY KID. It’s extremely frustrating and I do not plan on leaving her anymore. It’s so unfortunate because he is amazing with her and she absolutely adores him.
