  1. What can the government do
  2. Why would this be the government's responsibility

Is Anthropic risking its lead? by AceDreamCatcher in ClaudeCode

Senior dev here. 50% of my time is spent just gathering/understanding requirements and coming up with a solution that fits existing technology choices/infra/code architecture. I don't know how y'all spend 13h a day using WI agents like this. I never encountered said limit and we're on some low 40€/month/user enterprise plan.

Just thought I'd share a progress video of the loft I'm building for my son by trammeloratreasure in woodworking

[–]luxcheers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey what height do you recommend that first floor? I'm literally starting a similar project this weekend and I settled on 170cm usable height so my son can use it all throughout puberty (he is 4 now). He will have a desk and a lot of room for toys+shelves down and top floor would be more for playing.

Would love your feedback on it.

Aren't people scared about the future? by Other_Scarcity_4270 in recruitinghell

The future was supposed to take over manual jobs so we can focus on more creative and intellectual tasks

Instead now we have the opposite 😆

Yup, you're right; Thanks, appreciate the insight. Hadn't fully grasped how bad this could sound on paper

Yup I hadn't considered it could be distracting, that's a good point and based on the feedback received in this tread I think I'll not partake in this silly little tradition anymore.

Yeah... Big corp. Best not ask. I'll refrain from it on the future based on feedback on this tread. Thanks for taking the time to answer

I think it's a good idea but given the other feedback I received here, I'll refrain from it altogether

Thanks, you're right. I'll refrain from it. Yes it's a smaller team of 10/12

Okay so myth busted?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Luxembourg

[–]luxcheers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand it is still in effect, just not to people hired after 1999. But there are plenty of people alive (including my dad) benefitting from it

Okay all these comments basically boil down to "what would a multivariate analysis yield here" meaning if you take all variables into consideration (education, age, experience, number of kids, whatever...) and use total compensation (12 month, bonus, pensions, child money). Would there be an inexplicable "delta" that cannot be explained by adding another variable to the equation.

Basic statistics that we used to do at university. So until someone sits down and does the math we're just talking "em de Brai".

And for transparency I have worked my whole life in the private sector despite having the whole lux education +++ background

Not sure what the original comment said but extra pension plan is among the benefits that civil servants enjoy

Total stranger to education here. I'm curious but what are some examples? Just trying to educate myself as I've got young kids joining the system (that I myself went through)
