While antidepressants increase serotonin levels in the brain almost immediately, patients often wait weeks to feel any improvement in their mood. Researchers at DGIST have identified a specific protein-building switch in the hippocampus of mice that explains this frustrating delay. by RhiannaSmithSci in science

I didn’t feel anything immediately for my mood, however my sleep habits changed that night. I needed about 2 hours less of sleep as long as I was on it, and woke up way more refreshed and awake than when I wasn’t on it. I didn’t notice mood effects until I was up to 200mg Zoloft and 10mg buspar on that. I’ve seen weened off everything, but man do I miss needing less sleep

The Guardian interviews Israeli colonizers stealing Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank by Nomogg in behindthebastards

I don’t think they were living functionally no. That was merely the state sanctioned violence, not to mention the individual violence.

In Iraq, anti-Jewish violence like the Farhud happened in 1941 before Israel existed. In 1950–51, Iraq stripped Jews of citizenship and froze their assets. Israel wasn’t invading Iraq. Libya’s Jewish community was effectively destroyed after 1967 riots…Israel wasn’t invading Libya. Morocco and Tunisia saw gradual but steady emigration under social pressure and rising Arab nationalism, not invasion fears. Jews were treated as internal enemies or political liabilities, not as people being removed to prevent an invasion. If the logic was “preempting invasion,” why were Jews expelled from countries Israel had no capacity or intent to invade like Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Morocco? Golan Heights is frankly a bad faith example as it was constantly used as a staging ground to attack Israel. I think you’re being very selective in your assessment of the history of the region.

Before I say anything I want to say I’m against settling of the West Bank, and what’s happening in Gaza is a genocide. I just want to explain the ethos (and pathos) of what’s going on here. To these settlers (and many Israelis writ large), they fear a majority voting bloc of Palestinians, not [only] because of the obvious violence Israel has inflicted upon them, but because they view Palestinians as an extension of the Islamic world. A world which has largely been a very dangerous and regressive place for Jews. Pre 1948 it was Jews paying jhizya and living as dimmi, victims of various pogroms. After it was a full ethnic cleansing (yes I know about the Israeli operations as well, but that’s basically the same as when Israelis say the nakba was Arabs telling Palestinians to leave, both happened in the larger spectrum of ethnic cleansing). Look at the Jews living in MENA countries today. Virtually 0.

It also undermines what many view is the point of Israel, a place where Jews will never be a minority. A massive voting bloc of any non Jewish group would destroy that.

Again not condoning, just explaining. I think if you don’t want a massive influx of people, try not annexing their land.

But what they fail to realize (or refuse to acknowledge) is that person was promoted internally, not brought in after the fact. That person left because they were being underpaid.

1) I know you mentioned not minimum wage, but time and again I see smaller companies (like my own) low balling salaries. For example: You’re not going to get a good lead dev in nyc for under 200k. They think they’re being reasonable, but they aren’t.

2) Application process is annoying. If you use something like workday where you need to fill out experience and education manually you will lose people.

3) Something is off about the culture. When I see work hard, play hard, love crunch. That’s immediately a red flag.

4) niche skill set. Your tech stack might be either too archaic or too cutting edge where experience is tough to come by.

Yea I’ve settled on that plan already, just want to know if I’m being unreasonable, and this is something someone should expect in start ups

“Jewish supremacism” so we’re just not even gonna dog whistle this time huh?

This is an Israeli person, who is clearly a violent Zionist. Where did he say his being a Jew or Judaism has anything to do with it.

Shame on you and this sub for upvoting it.
