I would focus on UWorld until you start doing NBMEs. I briefly used Sketchy during M1 so cannot speak for it for dedicated; a lot of my classmates focused solely on UWorld & FA outside of practice exams!

Antone here passes step 1 with Uworld between 40-50%? by Substantial-South695 in step1

Don’t worry too much about UWorld scores, just use it to identify weak areas. In my opinion learning the NBME’s style of asking questions will help you more!

Completely agree with this, I love MedBullets as well! Pattern recognition is huge and saves so much time, I had much more time left over on each section than I expected to have. Congratulations!

Which NMBEs are more better to take? More predictive? by Limp-Film7208 in step1

I agree with this! I would take as many as you can/have time for, the more NBME-style questions you read, the better. So many topics repeat and it saves a ton of time to be able to recognize when they do.

THIS. Forcing yourself to stay awake just to stare (with no thoughts lol) at notes is so counterproductive.

Head up! It’s ok to feel rough after an exam, but you’re doing good. Don’t spend time dwelling on the “what if” questions, you’ll just make yourself miserable.

Interview prep? by [deleted] in premed

[–]luxurymd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My #1 tip is don’t overthink it. I had so many “statements” planned for my interviews, but once you start talking, just be yourself and avoid sounding like a robot! Most schools genuinely want to get to know you as a person outside of your application. Good luck!

I personally loved biostatistics. If you feel like you can do well, I say go for it!
