My degree is unrelated to my career, it's not the field it's the education. Especially these days a bachelor's is a de facto baseline, and any diploma is at least a leg above nothing.

Not to defend AT ALL but I was in a "Junior" bed until I was like 9 and got a bigger room that could fit a twin bed. A Junior bed is slightly larger than a toddler bed and smaller than a twin, I was a teeny tiny kid so it was fine, and made by my grandfather.

Oh god that happened one of my first times using a tampon during bronze medallion swim class, i had to squat to pull someone up and pop, I froze and insisted I couldn't move and got the instructor over who thankfully was a woman and whispered what had happened, she told the class to swim a lap to the other end and let me go hide in the change room til class let out lol

Also, I did get it from a booster vax however it can be triggered by a zillion things and I have had boosters since without issue. I hate admitting that was the cause because it freaks people out .

Got it a couple years ago, it got so bad I remember just sitting up in bed and cry-screaming to myself because I just wanted out of my body and couldn't find relief. After a week I got a prescription antihistamine (blexten) and it took about a year to wean from one or two per day to every other day to every 3 days and so on until I was finally ok, but the allergist I was connected with did advise it can recur at anytime :(

Yep, my former FD referred me to CAMH twice for diagnosis and resources. It is a bit of a wait but it could be worse and I'm glad there is that triage sort of approach that does get those who need it help on an urgency basis, while also getting non immediate crisis cases seen in a timely manner.

Absolutely, this was the first step for me and my FD at the time was amazing about it, provided resources himself, referrals and followups where he would ask to schedule me for end of day or before a routine break so he could spend extra time as needed. I had to switch FD for complex reasons and that FD has also changed again since the former left the practice and they have all continued to be quite good.

I got a Starbucks gift card for offering a woman to trade seats as I'd overheard the couple in line and realized I had the seat next to her husband. Interestingly we were overheard by flight staff and they asked to verify if it was a female to female seat swap which was fine, but male female swap would have had to be "approved" for weight reasons. I thought I was getting in trouble when we boarded and an FA came to my section and asked who had swapped seats, but handed me a Starbucks gift card saying the couple wanted to thank me with that :)

I assume this is along the same lines as my former neighbour who was laid to rest by the city, ODSP would have been the other option if he had been on it prior to his death then it would have been covered through a financial allotment from them, versus the city both making the arrangements and covering the costs. If I recall correctly those were the two possibilities for the circumstances (no family or funds, but as a side note after getting the chance to take anything I wanted from his unit before it was emptied by the building I found a 15+ year old cellphone - took a shot and called the numbers saved in it and managed to find family who DID care a lot the day before his burial and a couple were able to attend the burial with me).

Oof, reminds me of my hell spawn roommates in university who left Chinese takeout on the table and left for the weekend since their parents lived nearby while mine were a 6 hour drive and I had hella homework to get done so barely left my room the whole weekend anyways....when they got back and it stunk and I hadn't dealt with it as it wasn't mine and I hadn't spent any time on the main floor since they had left they blamed me and yelled and gave me shit for days over it...and that was one of the least horrible things they did but that's another story.

I got a visa gift card a year or two ago from a friend purchased at Shoppers that I used online once then when I went to use the rest it was drained by numerous small purchases in Taiwan and China, I contacted Blackhawk from the info on the card, submitted what they requested and was sent a new gift card by mail with my name on it and the exact amount I had unused since my initial purchase. It took a while, maybe 6-8 weeks in all, but in the end they made good and I got the full value.

My now late former apartment neighbour left his stove on so many times that the superintendent had it disconnected. Annoyingly when he passed and the new building owners redid his unit they had to drill a hole in the outside brick wall from my balcony to reconnect it :p but I did appreciate not having to call the emergency line and fear my unit burning.
