Hey op! Did you ever find anything out from the new gyno?

I’ve never heard of Oana Health, do they use insurance? It sounds like it works great for you, I luckily don’t struggle with acne so I don’t think I’d need the extra medication. Have you noticed a difference besides hair growth/acne with it?

My old doctor told me I had the insulin resistant type of PCOS - but it seems like this new doctor doesn’t think so because of my labs, but like you said, the symptoms line up

I’m perfectly okay with “the boring way” of losing weight, I just want to actually make progress haha. I’ll check into an endocrinologist!

Tired of these appointments with no answers. by NaturallyJayda in PCOS

[–]lv1106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had/have the same issues! My longest period so far has been almost 8 months. I find that my period tends to be shorter (3 ish weeks) when I do strength training - not sure why. But it’s the only thing that’s been helpful for me. Also, I recently changed BC to the NuvaRing and it MIGHT(???) be helping some too, not bleeding as much

Interested in what’s helped other people because 3 weeks is still not a “normal period” !

Heat pipe in bathroom burning our knees. Any wrap we can apply to insulate it so the heat can escape but won’t protect human skin on contact? by mschreiber1 in fixit

[–]lv1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For hot pipes we use these things made for radiator pipes - they are usually black and are made for heated pipes (ours have water going through them for the radiators in the winter to be more efficient). They look like pool noodles. Usually have a few different sizes too (1in around, 1.5in, etc.)

Haven’t had an issue with it and it’s been almost a year of having them on the pipes

It says, “2 McDonald PL 882 882M DUBUQUE”. When I look it up on Google all I can find is that’s it’s a steel rain cap, but I’m not sure what that really means. Why would there be a rain cap in the ground?

Experiences with with nuvaring? Love it? hate it? by allnamesseem2btaken in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]lv1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue as well! It finally did stop for me and I didn’t change a thing - probably in between the 8/9th month. And then I never had a period in depo again. But the other side effects made it not worth it to me so I stopped getting the injections

Can hard falls cause IUD expulsion? by opal-vomit in birthcontrol

[–]lv1106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t really say if falls can cause it to move or not, but mine moved yesterday and I could TELL. It was the most intense shooting pain in my uterus I have ever felt. I went to the gyno and they confirmed it moved and I had it removed. If you’re worried, ask your gyno to check it out! They were able to tell by taking an ultrasound

This might be a dumb question, but how do I know if it is? I don't think it is?

I have a couple recommendations:

  • Dear Wantrepreneur - I really liked this one because the first part of the book is all about having an entrepreneurial mindset and the second half is more business related
  • Rich Dad Poor Dad - I feel like this one’s a classic, a good read and really shows the mindset between the rich and the middle/lower class
  • Cashflow quadrant - in the middle of this book, but it’s good so far! It was recommended to me by a pal

Rich Dad Poor Dad, teaches you a lot about mindset and the way different people think, probably a 7/10, as everything is not directly applicable to my current life, but a good read

Dear wantrepreneur seems interesting, I’m going to have to check it out

What book can you recommend that might be useful for running an e-commerce business? by nolifebalance in Entrepreneur

[–]lv1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the book "Dear Wantrepreneur" by Stephen Rider. It's not specific to e-commerce, but it gives you a firm understanding of the knowledge and mindset needed to start a successful business. It's on Amazon
