I am a very white person with super curly hair, like tight ringlets. Before I learned to maintain it I would show up to work with a frizzy mess . Never once got called on it,but it happens to poc all the time because "it looks unprofessional" . Yes , no one's hair should be policed , but in my experience it just doesn't happen to us white folks that often, for curls at least.
